PSHE

At Winslow CE School we believe that our pupils are growing up in an increasingly complex and ever-changing world which presents many positive and exciting opportunities, but also many challenges and risks. Therefore, it is our aim to deliver a PSHE curriculum which not only tackles a range of themes and issues, but also equips them with essential knowledge and skills needed for lifelong learning.

Our intention is that when pupils leave Winslow CE School, they will do so with the knowledge, understanding and emotions to be able to play an active, positive and successful role in today’s diverse society.

Through our PSHE and RSE Curriculum we aim to ensure that pupils are confident and comfortable to express their emotions and opinions, and they are able to respect both themselves and those around them.

At Winslow CE School pupils are taught PSHE using the SCARF Scheme of Work. This is a whole-school progressive spiral curriculum, promoting positive behaviour, mental health, well-being and achievement. The values for children of Safety, Caring, Achievement, Resilience and Friendship are integral to the approach.
